The Sage Group is looking for a Demand Planner to work for a large multinational company that is a leading innovator and designer of consumer electronics and software products in the Silicon Valley. This person will manage all planning, forecasting & inventory management for one or more commodities in the client's service organization.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and apply forecast models using SAP.
- Track and improve forecast metrics through process development.
- Manage all aspects of demand planning and collaboration.
- Analyze opportunities to optimize supply chain through collaboration and improve supply chain visibility, continuously increasing supply chain accuracy.
- Perform allocations and inventory balancing across sites and regions.
- Manage excess and obsolete inventory.
- Present commodity-level forecast, issues, and possible solutions in monthly forecast review meetings to key stakeholders.
Skills Required:
- 5+ years of experience in service, manufacturing or logistics operations within tech
- 3+ years of planning experience
- Strong knowledge of forecasting methodologies and optimization techniques
- Demonstrated demand modeling and ad-hoc analysis skills
- Strong user of Excel
- Solid understanding of supply chain management, demand planning, and supply planning
- Proven success with executive level reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of SAP or other statistical software
